Run settings (the brief)
The settings on a recipe's run page together make up the brief for that run. The page shows only the settings the recipe actually uses, so a recipe without narration has no narration setting. Leave a setting empty to say you have no preference.
Language
The language of everything the viewer reads or hears: on-screen text, captions and narration. Pick a language, or leave it on auto. A recipe that edits footage also has Spoken language, which is the language people speak in your clips; it helps with finding the words in them.
Length
A target in seconds, between 5 and 600. It is a target, not a guarantee: the result lands near it, and a short clip of footage cannot be stretched past what you filmed.
Shape
The frame of the video: vertical (9:16), square (1:1), landscape (16:9) or portrait (4:5). Pick it before you run. A finished video cannot be changed to another shape afterwards.
Narration
Whether the video is narrated and by which voice. Choose Narrated and a voice you have consent for. This setting appears only on recipes that can speak. See Add a voiceover.
Style
The editing style and tone: pace, cuts, captions and mood. A recipe can suggest a style, shown as a chip; you can change it.
Design
Which brand the video is built in. Use your project's approved design (the default), or choose none to run without brand colours and fonts. See Design system.
Files
The files a recipe works on: your clips, music, pictures or a code archive. Pick them from the project's files. A recipe that needs a file you have not uploaded says so above Run.
Notes
Free text for anything the other settings do not cover: who the video is for, what it should show, what to keep. When the notes disagree with a setting, the setting wins.
